October 2024 Newsletter
📣 Greetings Geneva Township GOP Voters! 📣
-
Preserving Traditional Values: Many conservatives are focused on safeguarding family values, religious freedom, and individual liberties that they feel are under threat. They may view the upcoming election as crucial for protecting moral standards, free speech in the public square, and faith-based initiatives.
-
Economic Freedom and Smaller Government: For right-leaning voters, reducing the size of government and lowering taxes are key. They prioritize economic policies that focus on deregulation, job creation, and protecting small businesses from what they see as overreach by federal agencies. The election may determine the extent to which free markets and capitalism continue to shape policy.
-
Second Amendment Rights: Gun rights remain a cornerstone issue. Many conservatives are concerned that stricter gun control laws could infringe on their Second Amendment rights. The outcome of the election will likely influence whether gun regulations are expanded or preserved as they are.
-
Border Security and Immigration: Stronger border controls and a crackdown on illegal immigration are important for many conservative voters. The next administration will shape immigration reform, refugee policies, and border enforcement, impacting national security and economic stability.
-
Judicial Appointments and Supreme Court: Conservatives often focus on judicial appointments that favor originalist interpretations of the Constitution. The composition of the Supreme Court and federal courts will have a lasting impact on key legal rulings, such as those involving abortion, religious liberty, and the Second Amendment.

Please consider running for office! Nominating petitions for these local offices require VERY FEW signatures, so getting your name on the ballot takes very little effort. Candidates are needed for city and village trustees (maybe even mayors) and for the boards of park districts, schools, libraries, community colleges, and fire protection districts. Nominating papers must be filed by November 18th. The nominating petition forms for a school board can be obtained by contacting the district office of your local elementary, high school or community college. If you are considering running for a different non-school position, call your local government office and ask about obtaining the packet containing the forms.
Contact us here if you are interested: [email protected] Your petition packet and information is available at: |
