FEBRUARY 2025

Your voice has never mattered more than in our April 1st local election. While national politics grab headlines, it is our local leaders who determine the fate of our historic river town – from the condition of the streets you drive each day to the vitality of our downtown storefronts.

After 24 years under the same leadership, our beautiful community along the Fox River stands at a crossroads. The charm of our 1800s architecture and waterfront deserves leadership that will preserve our heritage while bringing fresh energy to long stalled development projects. And with a proposed 0.75% county sales tax on the ballot, your vote will directly impact your family's budget.

This election isn't just about choosing a Mayor and Alderpersons – it's about shaping the future of the community we call home. Local elections are where your vote carries the most weight and where decisions most directly affect your daily life.

Many feel that our current administration has failed in managing public infrastructure, prioritizing short-term gains over long-term planning and maintenance. A poorly communicated referendum, meant to make residents pay for mismanagement, was withdrawn due to errors, leaving no solutions. The city has failed in downtown preservation, with regulations causing business struggles, and in protecting the Fox River, where dam removal would be costly and environmentally harmful, ignoring free, viable alternatives. Leadership should involve making tough decisions for future generations, not leaving taxpayers to pay for negligence.

It is not only your right but your duty to show up on April 1st and help write the next chapter of our town's story.

  2. Volunteer: Make calls or distribute literature to friendly doors.
  3. Send Postcards: Mail Friend-to-Friend postcards encouraging others to vote for our candidates.
  4. Host a Meet & Greet: Invite neighbors and friends to your home to meet a candidate or two.
  5. Start an Email Campaign: Reach out to friends and neighbors, and inspire them to do the same.

The April 1 election holds the potential for transformative change—but only if we come together to make it happen. Join us, and let’s move our community forward.

NOVEMBER 2024

Reflecting on the Presidential Election:

A Call for Unity and Vigilance

As the dust settles on the recent presidential election, one thing is abundantly clear: We the People have spoken. Our collective voices, expressed through the democratic process, are the heartbeat of this nation. It is a profound reminder that our power lies in our unity, in our shared vision for the future, and in the freedoms we hold dear as delineated in the Bill of Rights. These freedoms — speech, religion, the right to assemble, and many others — form the bedrock of our identity as Americans.

This election, like many before it, was charged with emotion, filled with robust debate and differing visions for America. Regardless of the outcome, the real victory lies in our participation. Voting is more than a right; it is a responsibility and a privilege that countless people have fought to secure and protect. With this election, we reaffirmed our commitment to democracy. But our work does not end at the ballot box.

Now is the time to invest in our future — with our time, our voices, and our resources. We must continue to protect the liberties we cherish, and that begins with active citizenship. The freedoms enshrined in the Bill of Rights are not guaranteed by mere words on parchment; they must be defended by informed, engaged citizens who understand their value and are willing to uphold them against any challenge.

As we look to the future, we pray for our newly elected leaders, both those we supported and those we did not. We ask for their safety and wisdom as they take on the tremendous responsibility of governance. May they lead with discernment, guided by common sense and compassion. It is not an easy task to govern such a diverse and dynamic nation, but our leaders must strive to be worthy of the trust we have placed in them.

We must also resolve to never let our guard down again. History has shown us that complacency is the greatest threat to our freedoms. We must hold our leaders accountable, not out of distrust but out of a commitment to the principles of democracy. We must stay informed, engage in meaningful dialogue, and stand united in our defense of liberty, justice, and the rule of law.

In the end, our strength as a nation comes from our ability to find common ground, even in times of disagreement. It is a time for healing, for bridging divides, and for building a better future for all Americans. This election is not the end of our journey; it is a new chapter. Together, we can continue the great American experiment — one rooted in the belief that when We the People speak, we shape the destiny of our country.

OCTOBER 2024
Welcome to our Geneva Township digital home for Republicans. We are so happy that you visited. As we approach the election of a lifetime, consider these beliefs that we hold dear:
  • Preserving Traditional Values: Many conservatives are focused on safeguarding family values, religious freedom, and individual liberties that they feel are under threat. They may view the upcoming election as crucial for protecting moral standards, free speech in the public square, and faith-based initiatives.

  • Economic Freedom and Smaller Government: For right-leaning voters, reducing the size of government and lowering taxes are key. They prioritize economic policies that focus on deregulation, job creation, and protecting small businesses from what they see as overreach by federal agencies. The election may determine the extent to which free markets and capitalism continue to shape policy.

  • Second Amendment Rights: Gun rights remain a cornerstone issue. Many conservatives are concerned that stricter gun control laws could infringe on their Second Amendment rights. The outcome of the election will likely influence whether gun regulations are expanded or preserved as they are.

  • Border Security and Immigration: Stronger border controls and a crackdown on illegal immigration are important for many conservative voters. The next administration will shape immigration reform, refugee policies, and border enforcement, impacting national security and economic stability.

  • Judicial Appointments and Supreme Court: Conservatives often focus on judicial appointments that favor originalist interpretations of the Constitution. The composition of the Supreme Court and federal courts will have a lasting impact on key legal rulings, such as those involving abortion, religious liberty, and the Second Amendment.

PLEASE VOTE EARLY IN PERSON.

TAKE YOUR VOTE BY MAIL BALLOT WITH YOU!

We hope to see you at our meetings soon.
