March 19, 2024 Primary Results in Geneva Township
Primary results from last Tuesday's elections cement the need to re-double our voter contact efforts in Geneva Township.
After compiling results precinct level results available on the Kane County Clerk's office Election Results webpage, just over 300 more Democrats voted in the Illinois primary than did Republicans.
The following table shows the precinct level data:

One of the likely explanations for this Republican deficit is the stronger participation of Democrats in Illinois' Permanent Vote By Mail Program which allows voters to automatically receive ballots for every election, including partisan primaries.
According to data available to the Geneva Township Republicans, there are 478 Republicans enrolled in permanent vote by mail in Geneva while there are 941 Democrats enrolled in the program.
In response to this, the Geneva Township Republicans are committed to re-doubling our voter outreach efforts through the summer and fall in advance of the November 5th, 2024 election and in advance of next year's consolidated elections.
